The Preston Corridor Master Plan is a transformative project whose goal is to reimagine the Preston Corridor, shifting it from an auto-centric thoroughfare to a vibrant, multi-modal complete street that prioritizes safe, convenient, and efficient access for all users.

With a focus on premium transit and sustainable land use, this visionary plan will support existing businesses while stimulating new economic development opportunities.

The Preston Corridor Master Plan encompasses a comprehensive analysis and specific recommendations for various aspects of the corridor, including land use, economic development, premium transit, multi-modal facilities, streetscape improvements, green infrastructure, quality of place, and traffic-calming. Aligned with the 5 CHASE guiding principles of Plan 2040, Louisville’s Comprehensive Plan, our approach is rooted in creating a connected, healthy, authentic, sustainable, and equitable community.

Central to our process is extensive community engagement. We are actively involving local municipalities, neighborhood associations, business associations, logistics industries, tourism stakeholders, and Louisville Metro’s Office of Globalization. By engaging key stakeholders throughout the project, we ensure a consensus-driven approach and gather diverse perspectives that reflect the demographics and voices of the study area’s community.

EHI Consultants is committed to an inclusive public engagement strategy, valuing community feedback as an integral part of the decision-making process. Together, we will help shape the Preston Corridor that serves the needs and aspirations of all residents, fostering a thriving and inclusive urban environment.
