EHI Consultants is playing a crucial role in the $90+ million Sherman Minton Bridge rehabilitation and painting project, aimed at significantly extending the service life of the 56-year-old bridge.

This vital double-decked bridge connects Louisville, KY and New Albany, IN, carrying six lanes of traffic (I-64 and US 150) over the Ohio River.

EHI’s responsibilities include comprehensive outreach through public open houses and the establishment of Environmental Justice (EJ) Technical Committees in New Albany and West Louisville. These efforts gather feedback and address social context within the proposed study area. EHI is also developing an Environmental Justice methodology for the Community Impact Assessment (CIA) Technical Report, documenting socio-economic impacts and proposing mitigation measures.

In addition, EHI has been tasked with developing a comprehensive Environmental Justice methodology and approach. This will be included as a stand-alone element in the Community Impact Assessment (CIA) Technical Report. The Environmental Justice Analysis aims to thoroughly document all socio-economic and community-related impacts, as well as proposed mitigation measures.
